Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Transport for Wales network, closing some lines.

The following trains will be diverted / amended:

Monday to Thursday:

• The 19:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central service will depart from Church Stretton and stations to Newport (South Wales) earlier than normal. The train will arrive at Cardiff Central later than normally advertised
• The 21:11 Maesteg to Ebbw Vale Town service will not call at Newport (South Wales). Rail replacement buses will run between Newport (South Wales) and Ebbw Vale Town, calling at all stations
• The 22:21 Cardiff Central to Crewe service will depart Cardiff Central and all stations to Hereford earlier than usual. The train will revert to original timings from Hereford onwards to Crewe
• The 22:22 Chester to Cardiff Central service will arrive later at Cardiff Central

Tuesday to Friday:

• The 00:30 Cardiff Central to Hereford service will depart Pontypool earlier and arrive at Hereford later than normally advertised
• The 04:33 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly service will now depart Cardiff Central and Newport (South Wales) earlier than normally advertised
• The 05:42 Swansea to Cardiff Central service will arrive into Cardiff Central at 06:39 to connect with the service to Manchester Piccadilly departing at 06:46
• The 23:15 Cardiff Central to Abergavenny service will arrive at Abergavenny later than normally advertised

Thursday and Friday:

• The 05:37 Cardiff Central to Milford Haven service will depart earlier than normally advertised

On Sunday, no trains will run between London Euston and Holyhead, you should travel on alternative Avanti West Coast trains between London Euston and Crewe.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Greenbank only.

Replacement buses will run between Greenbank and Chester.

Transport for Wales:

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Chester are cancelled and replaced by buses, these buses will run between Liverpool South Parkway and Chester.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester services are and replaced by buses.

Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Llandudno Junction / Holyhead will run between Chester and Llandudno Junction / Holyhead. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester.

The 03:52 Chester to Manchester Airport train will not run and is replaced by a bus.

The 05:25 Manchester Airport to Holyhead service will run between Chester and Holyhead. A replacement bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester to connect with train.

The 05:13 Swansea to Llandovery will run between Llanelli and Llandovery. A replacement bus will run between Swansea and Llanelli to connect with train.

Train services between Wolverhampton and Walsall will run between Wolverhampton and Sandwell & Dudley only (at reduced frequency). Rail replacement buses will operate between Sandwell & Dudley and Smethwick Rolfe Street, via Smethwick Galton Bridge (for train services to Birmingham Snow Hill and Birmingham Moor Street) and between Birmingham New Street and Walsall.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Worcester Foregate Street / Great Malvern / Hereford will run to an amended timetable, will not call at University, Barnt Green or Bromsgrove and will be diverted to terminate at / start from Birmingham Snow Hill (instead of Birmingham New Street).

Train services between Lichfield Trent Valley / Four Oaks and Bromsgrove / Redditch will not run. Rail replacement buses will operate between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street, between Birmingham New Street and Longbridge / Barnt Green / Bromsgrove / Droitwich Spa and between Longbridge / Barnt Green and Redditch.

London Northwestern Railway

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Crewe will run between Wolverhampton and Crewe only.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will depart slightly earlier from Birmingham New Street. These services will divert and not call at Smethwick Galton Bridge.

To help you complete your journey, rail replacement buses will run between Birmingham New Street and Sandwell & Dudley, calling at Smethwick Galton Bridge.

West Midlands Railway

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury will run between Sandwell & Dudley and Shrewsbury only.
